This section of the website focuses on current news about Africa
that I feel "should matter" to all of us. Some of the
news I highlight has received global attention. But most of the
events will be "new news" to most Americans -- as many
issues of concern to Africa have great difficulty getting media
attention in the rest of the world. This is one small attempt to
address this "information gap problem" in regard to Africa!
While much news of importance will be not be covered, I hope that
you will find those events / issues addressed to be meaningful and
worthy of greater attention. Latest entries will be placed "on
top."
